BBG - Budget Birthday Gift

I was doing our groceries shopping list yesterday when Mr Pocoyo came home from school and he handed me the Birthday Party invitation card from his classmate. It was a cute little card written by the mom I guessed, Pocoyo called it as Princess Card lol.

So, I had to cancel the groceries shopping and we decided to go to Suria Sabah at 5pm to buy a present for the birthday girl. We left right after our teabreak.

I already knew what we should buy because I've been eyeing the cute pink goodies at the Daiso front entrance, we were there last weekend. The displayed items were cute and cheap, so I thought that it would be a good deal hehehe

Then we hurried home after our dinner because I wanted Pocoyo to learn how to prepare the present for his friend with a very minimal cost.

These are all the materials that we needed to start the wrapping and the birthday card.
(spot the so-called Princess Card? lol)

We bought a cute coins box for the birthday girl, u can spot that in the pic above :)
The blue & White packing is the gift bag. There are 8 pcs inside.
I also bought a ribbon to tie the gift bag.
Total cost was RM15.00, each item cost at RM5.00 actually.

I intentionally choose to buy extra bags and ribbon so that I can use it in future. There might be a sudden invitation card again LOL

Here's Mr Pocoyo getting ready with his color pencils, daddy was the assistant ^__^

Coloring progress. He followed the shape to start the coloring lol

The card was turned countlessly until the coloring was completed.
I guessed that Mr Pocoyo was trying hard to color the birthday card as nice as possible.

"I want to make a nice bow like Minnie's" he said.
I secretly helped him to tie nicely after he went to bed lol

Here's the handmade card and the gift. There are 2 big R weirdly written on the card.
Pocoyo said: "R should be like this" and he immediately wrote it on the card. It was too fast and I failed to stop him. Nevermind lah!

I was so eager to get the little boy to do the wrapping and coloring because I believed that it's so important to train him at this age, you dont be lazy lazy my boy LOL!!!! Besides that, family bonding is still the most precious, just a little project but the three of us were involved. I'm good in cost saving =_=

=_=

Anyway... here's another 'pink' view for everyone who loves pink color :)

Multi-purpose Bin @ RM5.00 each

DAISO placed this at the main entrance.

I took this picture last weekend, it was just because of I thought it's toooo cute.
I can't buy this as I've already have 2 piggy banks at home. At last we bought it for someone else :)

Don't we love Daiso? :D

  1. So cute!!! And what a way to teach your kid how to berjimat|! To tell you the truth, I always think that handmade cards/gifts make the best GIFT anytime! It simply delivers the "heartfelt" feeling... macam ikhlas from hati orang yg memberi konon. Eheheheheh

  5. What a clever and brilliant idea to wrap the gifts! It will excite the birthday girl. I also like to give kids cute piggy banks but i always added about RM5.00 worth of coins inside. Their moms told me that motivated them to quickly chip in their own coins till full.
